Photography in Salt
Somia Digital provides photography in Salt for neighbourhood shops, industrial-estate firms and businesses whose stock changes every season. In 2024 we illustrated the 35th-anniversary microsite of Centre Verd, the garden centre founded here in 1989, with our own photography. We are next door in Girona, so we can run short, repeated sessions instead of one a year.

Local context
Local shops, warehouses and market gardens
Salt grew in the 20th century on textiles: three mills in the Sant Antoni district, now known as el Veïnat, and the large complex Joan Coma i Cros expanded between 1910 and 1923, now the Coma-Cros cultural centre. That industrial legacy lives on in the business parks, where companies need photos of their buildings, machinery and teams for catalogues and recruitment. Alongside, a lively local retail scene competes with the capital a few minutes away, and the winners are those who best show their shop and the people behind the counter.
The landscape plays its part too: the Deveses, a protected natural area beside the River Ter, and the market gardens watered by the Monar irrigation channel, which even appears on the town's coat of arms. For a garden, food or leisure business, these are close, recognisable backdrops for local customers.

For the anniversary of Centre Verd, with its 12,000 m² site, we built the microsite for the November 2024 celebration and took the photographs that illustrate it. Elsewhere in Gironès we have photographed Centre Anna Fabra and David Suquet Perruquers in Girona, and Miquel Noguer in Sarrià de Ter.
