What does business photography need in a city of services?
In Girona, many commissions are about trust rather than products: a clinic, a beauty centre, a law office or a hair salon that needs clients to see where they will walk in and who will look after them before they call. Stock photos give themselves away here, because a prospective client often lives a few streets away and knows the place. So we shoot inside the real space, in the light it actually has, and portray people at their own treatment room or desk.
The other Girona is the one tourists see: the colourful houses along the Onyar, the Old Quarter enclosed by the city wall walk, and the Call, one of the best-preserved Jewish quarters in the Iberian Peninsula. A restaurant or shop in the centre has a backdrop no one else has, but also narrow streets that stay in shade much of the day, so the time of the shoot matters. In May, during Temps de Flors, held since 1954 and opening private courtyards and gardens, the centre fills up and outdoor shots mean an early start.

Shoots in the city and across Gironès
At Centre Anna Fabra we did two shoots in November and December 2023, using the centre's warm light: reception, team and face and body treatments. At David Suquet Perruquers we photographed the salon and team for the 2021 website. Elsewhere in the county, we have shot Centre Verd in Salt for its 35th anniversary and Miquel Noguer, a therapist in Sarrià de Ter.
