Online stores in Olot
Somia Digital builds online stores for producers, food workshops and artisans in Olot who want to sell beyond La Garrotxa: catalogue, payments, shipping suited to the product and pages that explain where each item comes from. We bring more than 10 years of experience and leave you ready to run it yourself. The quote depends on catalogue and logistics, and is tailored.
Olot · Garrotxa
Olot, capital of La Garrotxa in the heart of the volcanic zone, combines a strong agri-food industry with craftsmanship and an established town-centre retail scene. Olot businesses have authentic stories to tell, and digital is the perfect megaphone.
Local context
Selling produce from the volcanic zone
Olot lies within the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park and has a cuisine with its own name, Cuina Volcànica, built on local produce. The town makes pork charcuterie such as fuet and llonganissa, holds a cured-meat fair every March, runs a Monday market dating back to the 13th century and has a tradition of religious image-making behind the famous ‘sants d'Olot’. It's a catalogue with a story, and the online store has to tell it, because buyers far away can't taste or touch.
What it needs
What selling food and crafts online requires
Food information before checkout
When selling food at a distance, mandatory information (ingredients, allergens and so on) must be on the product page before purchase. We structure it so no product is missing it.
Shipping matched to the product
A cured sausage, a bottle of ratafia and a wood carving don't travel the same way. We set rates and carriers by product type, including chilled shipping when needed.
Bundles and gift boxes
Garrotxa produce is a popular gift. Bundles combining items, with a personal message and delivery date, especially at Christmas.
